The Kaoru bowl is made from Amakusa porcelain stone, yuzu ash glaze and blue gosu paint by artisans at the Koshuru kiln in Hasami, Nagasaki prefecture in Japan. The bowls are hand shaped to fit comfortably in your hands. There is something incredibly pleasing about a hand made porcelain bowl that's hard to be put in words. It has to be experienced.
Not too big, not too small, the size is just right for any donburi, soup or noodle dish. The Yoshino cedar chopsticks are not included, but are a great addition!
Buy 2 and get them in original cardboard and twine packaging.
The shape of the bowl is designed by Kaoru Watanabe and the blue lines are by Osamu Saruyama.
