Masu cups were originally used to measure rice. Nowadays the masu cup is commonly used as a drinking vessel for Sake. The piney scent of hinoki wood adds a dimension of fragrance to the sake that is much liked.

1 go is a Japanese unit of measurement that measures a volume of 180 ml. Most Japanese rice cookers still come with measuring cups of 180 ml. A masu would be a stylish substitute for the plastic cups provided by the manufacturer.

Our 1 go Masu cups pair well with our Iga yaki rice cookers and our kiri wooden rice containers.
